b. Resetting Time Totalizing Meter. C o n n e c t

device - 6645-179-2712 to connection on meter
and plug reset device into a 110 volt electrical
circuit. The time totalizing meter and the time
totalizing meter reset device both have a four
digit, accumulative time, recording system. To
determine the number of hours required to reset
the time totalizing meter to a zero reading, add
the
number
of
hours
registered
on
the
time
totalizing meter to the number of hours required
to equal 10,000. Example:
a time totalizing
meter registration of 0500 and a reset device
setting of 9500 will advance the time totalizing
meter until a reading of 0000 is achieved. Refer
to figure 6-256 and follow the instructions to
establish
the
correct
procedure
to
calibrate
the
time totalizing meter electric reset device.
1. Plug reset device into 110 volt electrical circuit being
sure power switch (A) is in the off position.
2. Depress reset knob (B) and lock by turning turn
clockwise until tbe white line on knob is in a horizontal
position.
3. Open preset cover (C) and dial in the desired numbers,
when added to the reading on the time totalizing meter
equal a 10,000 hour meter reading.
4. Close preset cover (C) and unlock reset knob (B) by
turning turn counterclockwise.
5. Turn power switch (A) on the depress start switch (C) to
begin resetting. Unit will complete resetting and stop
automatically.
6. Should unit stop slightly short of zero, introduce ad-
ditional counts by momentarily depressing start switch
(D).
