3. Solenoid Assembly.

a. Install nylon bushing (1) in core of case and coil assembly (2).

b. Put spring (3) on contact assembly (4) and install into the case and coil assembly (2).

CAUTION

Do not lubricate gasket used between case and terminal plate.

Position new gasket (5) on case and coil assembly (2).

NOTE

There are two solenoid assemblies 1119872 (early) and 1115563 (late).

d. Attach leads (6) of solenoid coils to terminals (7) on terminal plate assembly (8) with three screws (9). Early

model has one screw. Torque to 12--15 lb--in (1.4 to 1.7 Nm).

e. Attach terminal plate assembly (8) to case and coil assembly (2) with four screws (10) and four washer nuts

(11). Torque to 16--30 lb--in (1.8 to 3.4 Nm).
