Note. Bushing-type bearing must be
0.040 to 0.050-inch below surface of
impeller bore when properly installed.
(b) Figure 373. (A) Position scavenger oil
pump housing on press plates as shown.
(B) Position a new bushing-type bear-
ing against, and in alinement with, old
bushing-type bearing in scavenger oil
pump housing. (C) Using a suitable
pressing arbor, press new bushing-
type bearing into housing while press-
ing worn bushing-type bearing out of
housing. The old bearing will act as a
guide and prevent new bearing from
becoming cocked and distorted.
Note. Bushing-type bearing must be
0.040 to 0.050-inch below pressure oil
pump mounting face when properly in-
stalled.
