(1) The Power Inverter (figure 1-3) converts a nominal +27.5 Vdc input to a regulated 400 Hz single phase, 115

Vac out-put, and is generally intended for use with lightweight portable reference Gyro Systems.

(2) The inverter is a self-contained solid state electronic switching device that converts a direct current (dc) input

to a single-phase alternating current (ac) output. The inverter consists of five major subassemblies that are mounted to

the main chassis. The inverter is equipped with one external connector J1, that permits input dc and output ac to pass.
