INTEGRATION SHELTER FLUORESCENT LAMPS REPLACEMENT
WARNING
Glass from broken fluorescent lamps can cause severe cuts or eye injuries. Use caution to prevent lamp breakage
whenever a light fixture diffuser has been removed or when handling the fluorescent lamps.
1.
Push up and carefully pull out one side of plastic diffuser (I) to release lip from edge of fluorescent fixture (2), then
lift other side of diffuser from lamp fixture and set diffuser aside for later reinstallation.
2.
Locate red fiber tab (3) and gray fiber key (4) at each end of fluorescent lamp to be replaced.
3.
While pressing red fiber tab (3) to release gray fiber key, pull down and remove key. Set key aside for later
reinstallation.
4.
Repeat step 3 at opposite end of fluorescent lamp.
5.
Roll lamp 900 and pull down carefullyto release lamp from fixture. Remove red fiber tab from each end of lamp
and
set aside for later reinstallation. Then discard lamp.
6.
Obtain replacement lamp (item 5, Section II, Appendix B) and reinstall red fiber tabs (removed in step 5) at each
end
of lamp.
7.
Hold lamp horizontally below fixture with connector pins aligned vertically and red fiber tabs pointing to one side.
8.
Push lamp up into fixture connectors, then roll lamp 900 so that red tabs at each end point down and lamp is
locked
in place.
9.
Reinstall both fiber keys removed in step 3 by inserting narrow end through slots in red fiber tabs.
10.
Reinstall plastic diffuser (I) by hooking lip of one side along edge of lamp fixture. Carefully pull out either side of
diffuser and push up until it slips over edge of fixture and snaps in place.
