Inspect outside of collector (1) for
burnt-through holes and
unacceptable cracks as listed below:
Any wider than 1/16-inch.
Any running along bead (2) that
are longer than 5-inches.
Any longer than 3/4-inch
progressing from bead (2) into
either rear or forward half of
collector (1).
Any that converge and may cause
loss of metal.
Any around cooling holes (3)
longer than 1/6-inch.
Any in stiffening ring (4) longer
than 1/6-inch.
Are there an burnt -through holes or
unacceptable cracks in collector?
A . Record note to replace
forward engine module.
B . Go to step 12.
