Is spur gearshaft broken or

damaged?

YES

Go to step 3.

2 Check hiqh pressure compressor

system rotation by turning

spline coupling (2) clockwise.

High pressure compressor system

should turn smoothly. No rubs

or binds should be felt and no

unusual noises should be heard.

Does high pressure compressor turn

smoothly with no unusual noises?
