 FUEL INJECTION PUMP
REPAIR (CONTINUEDI
NOTE
If pump is being removed for replacement, or
when replacing button, record code number on
original button. Record port closing (PC) dimen-
sions stamped on pump mounting flange. These
dimensions are required for timing replacement
pump engine.
REMOVAL
Remove bleed valve (l).
A
NOTE
Do not remove stud bolts unless damaged.
Remove four nuts (2),
and flat washers (4)

from stud bolts (5). Discard
(3).

CAUTION
Do not damage or lose shims. Shims must be in-
stalled with original fuel injection pump.

Remove fuel injection pump (6) and shim(s) (7).
Remove and discard preformed packing (8).
D
NOTE
Note shim thickness stamped on cylinder block
(above injection pump).
