NOTE
Nicks and burrs must be removed from shim(s)
before use.
111. INSTALL RETAINER (2) AND
SHIM(S) (1).
Working on right side of transmission,
a.
slide shim(s) (1) onto retainer (2) and
press retainer into housing (3).
Aline six bolt holes in retainer (2) and
b.
shim(s) (1) with housing (3). Using
plastic-faced hammer, tap retainer (2)
into place.
Install six bolts (4).
c.
1 1 2 . USING l/2-lNCH DRIVE TORQUE
WRENCH, TORQUE SIX BOLTS (4)
TO 25-30 ft-lb (3-4 mkg).
1 1 3 . ROTATE TRANSMISSION SO BOTTOM
110. REPLACE SHIM(S) (1) WITH SET THAT
SIDE IS UP AND GO TO STEP 88.
IS 0.005 INCH (0.13 mm) THINNER.
114. REMOVE TWO SCREWS (5)
A N D CLUTCH HOUSING (6).
a. Working on right side of trans-
mission, remove two screws (5) and
clutch housing (6).
