CYLINDER HEAD REPLACE -- Continued
INSTALLATION
Install cylinder head gasket on cylinder block.
a.
Install cylinder head on cylinder block.
b.
Install 17 cylinder head screws and washers. Use a mixture of graphite and oil on the screw threads
c.
to prevent them from rusting tight in the cylinder block.
d.
Tighten cylinder head screws 25 to 32 foot pounds torque.
NOTE
After complete assembly and engine run-in, re-torque head screws.
Install cylinder head shrouds and rear shroud covers. Secure with screws.
e.
Install the manifold assy (Para. 3-167).
f.
Install spark plugs and connect spark plug leads.
g.
Install access panel.
