Section IV. OPERATION UNDER UNUSUAL CONDITIONS
2-10. GENERAL.
This section contains instructions for operating transporter under unusual
conditions.
2 - 1 1 . OPERATION IN RAINY OR HUMID CONDITIONS.
F r e q u e n t l y i n s p e c t , c l e a n , and lubricate equipment to prevent rust and
fungus accumulation.
2 - 1 2 . OPERATION IN WATER.
a.
Salt water will cause metal parts to rust and corrode. Clean, in-
spect, and lubricate frequently.
b.
C l e a n , i n s p e c t , a n d lubricate immediately after fording or when tact-
ical situation permits.
2 - 1 3 . OPERATION IN SNOW.
Refer to FM 21-305 for special instructions on operation in snow.
2 - 1 4 . OPERATION IN MUD.
When operating with reduced tire pressure,

I f one or more wheels sink into the mud, it may be required to jack
up the mired wheel and insert planking or matting beneath it.
