INSPECTION AND REPAIR
Inspect governor linkage components for damaged threads

and bent linkage rod.
B Replace damaged parts.

Inspect ball joints (1) for tightness.
D If ball joints are worn and come apart easily, replace ball
joints.
INSTALLATION
Attach bracket (1) to
(2) with two screws (3) and

(4).

Install governor arm (5) in governor shaft
Install locking screw (7).
D Attach stud (8) to bracket (1) with adjusting nut (9) and
locknut (10).
Attach one end of governor
to stud (8).
