3. REMOVE GEAR (1).
a. Using screwdriver, remove retaining
ring (2). Discard ring.
b. Using prybar, remove gear (1).
c. Remove and discard key (3).
4 . INSPECT GEAR (1).
5. REMOVE TWO HOSE TO BOSS
a. Inspect gear (1) for damage. See
ELBOWS (4).
a. Remove two elbows (4) and preformed
b. Replace gear (1) if damaged.
packings (5). Discard packings.
7 . INSTALL GEAR (1).
6. INSTALL TWO ELBOWS (4) AND TWO
a. Install new key (3).
PREFORMED PACKINGS (5). See task
b. Install gear (1).
INSTALL ELBOW (45 AND 90),
c. Install new retaining ring (2).
