INTRODUCTION
SECTION I. GENERAL INFORMATION
1-1. Scope.
Type of Manual: Operator and Intermediate Level
Equipment Name: Propeller/Rotor Shop, NSN 4920-01-139-4546
Purpose of Equipment: To provide propeller and rotor repair/fabrication support for non-divisional aviation units. This
shop is utilized in conjunction with other maintenance shops in the AVIM support unit.
1-2. Maintenance forms, records and reports.
Department of the Army forms and records used to maintain this equipment will be those prescribed-by DA PAM 738-
751, The Army Maintenance Management Systems-Aviation (TAMMS-A).
1-3. Reporting equipment improvement recommendations (ERs).
If your Propeller/Rotor Shop needs improvement, let us know. Send us an EIR. You, the user, are the only one who
an tell us what you don't like about your equipment. Let us know why you don't like the design. Put it on an SF 368
(Quality Deficiency Report). Mail it to: Commander, U.S. Army Aviation Systems Command, ATTN: AMSAV-MMD, 4300
Goodfellow Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63120-1798. We will send you a reply.
1-4. Destruction of Army material to prevent enemy use.
Instructions for destruction of this equipment are contained in TM 750-244-1-4, Procedures for Destruction of Aviation
Ground Support Equipment (FSC 4920), to Prevent Enemy Use.
1-5. Preparation for storage or shipment.
For general technical information on preparation for storage and shipment refer to TM 55-1500-204-25/1 and
TM 743-200-1. For regulatory requirements pertaining to equipment placed in administrative storage refer to AR 750-1.
SECTION II. EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION AND DATA
1-6. Characteristics.
a. The Propeller/Rotor Shop is housed in a tactical, one side expandable, shelter (NSN 5411-01-124-1377).
b. Once the shelter has been erected the additional floor space provides the work area necessary for the
Propeller/rotor Shop to perform its maintenance function.
