2. Lubrication. Your turbocharger is pressure lubricated by the engine lubricating system through an external hose
connected from the bearing housing to the engine oil filter. Oil flows through the bearing housing, around the
sleeve bearings, and returns to the engine oil pan via bearing clearances and the oil drain tube. Metal seal rings
prevent oil from entering the turbine housing and compressor cover.
