( d ) Install c o m b i n e d c i r c u i t p a n e l a s s e m b l y u n i t ( 1 1 ) a n d b r u s h
a s s e m b l y unit (12) in drive end housing assembly (6). Tighten four
screws (1).
( e ) I n s t a l l l e a d s a s f o l l o w s , u s i n g figure 3-10 as a guide for
making lead connections.
S e c u r e short black lead from printed circuit panel assembly
1.
(5) to housing ground hole in drive end housing assembly (6) using screw
Tighten screw securely.
2.
S e c u r e each of the three long black leads from printed
circuit panel assembly (5) to each of the three stator terminal studs
using three nuts (10, fig. 3-2).
R o u t e leads in cavity of drive end
housing assembly (6) along with negative rectifier leads.
T o r q u e nuts to
12-14 pound-feet.
( 1 1 ) Install mounting plate and connector assembly to drive end
housing assembly (fig. 3-2).
U s e figure 3-2 and figure 3-12 to make lead
connections.
(a) Route two heavy black connector leads through brush holder
cavity in drive end housing assembly (6) to positive rectifier area of
d r i v e end housing assembly.
(b) Secure three thin black connector leads and two black brush
leads to printed circuit panel assembly (7) using three screws (8) and
Tighten screws securely.
(c) Secure connector assembly (4) and mounting plate (5) on drive
e n d housing assembly (6) using four screws (2) and lock washers (3).
Tighten screws securely.
