1. CLEANING (cont)
c. Using a bristle brush and solvent, remove dirt, oil,
and other contaminants from all exterior surfaces.
d. Use a clean rag moistened with solvent to clean
hard to reach areas.
WARNING
Compressed air used for cleaning
purposes will not exceed 30 psi. Use
only with effective chip guarding and
personal
protective
equipment
(goggles/shield, gloves, etc.).
e. Blow cleaned surfaces dry with compressed air.
f. Cleaning Instructions for Components.
(1) Attaching parts, removed shafts, adapter
plate, and other metallic parts may be
immersed in solvent, then scrubbed with a
brush or rag.
(2) Clean residue of sealing compound from
attaching hardware and from threads in
tapped holes (chase with correct size tap).
