A. Disconnect engine assembly from
transmission assembly (TM 34-1).
B. Inspect outside diameter of
regenreator matrix (1), especially
near the forward header (2) and
rear header (3) all the way
around for holes, cracks, buckling or
separation of plates.
Is matrix outside diameter OK?
A . Salvage Gas Turbine Power
Unit (page 6-63).
B . Verify problem is solved.
Check to see if all 15 reduction
gearbox (RGB) mounting bolts
(4) and washers (5) are installed.
Are all RGB mounting bolts and
washers installed? .
