4 A. Remove forward engine module
B.  Visually  inspect  turbine
rotor  blades  (1)  and  nozzle
vanes (2) for damage as
l i s t e d below:
NOTE
Measurements  in  this
step
are
approximate.
Burnt or broken blades
(1).
Z  Melted  metal  deposits  on
blades  (1).
Z No more than four vanes
(2)  shall  have  burns  or
breaks  on  edge  (3)  wider
than  l/4-inch  and  deeper
than  1/8-inch.
Z  Check  for  cracks  (4)
longer  than  7/16-inch
where  vanes  (2)  connect  to
shrouds  (5,  6).
Are blades and vanes OK?

A.
Replace  forward  engine
B.  Verify  problem  is
solved.
