OIL BYPASS VALVE
(CONTINUED)
A Measure diameter of bypass valve (3). Replace valve (3) if
diameter is less than 0.3365 inch or more than 0.3380 inch.
B Measure free length of valve spring (2). Replace spring (2) if
free length is less than 2.3125
0.0625 ) inch.
C Using compression scale, compress valve
to 1.875
inch.
Check scale for 2.225
pounds compression.

Replace plug
if threads are worn or darnaged.
A Lubricate plug(l),
valve (3), and oil port.
Insert valve (3) and spring (2).

Install
tighten plug (l).
