17. CHECK RING GEAR (1).
a.
Using micrometer caliper set,
measure thickness of ring gear (1) in
three places. Replace ring gear if any
thickness is less than 0.190 inch
(4.83 mm) and go to step 18.
16. INSPECT RING GEAR (1).
b.
Using a flat surface and feeler gage,
a. Remove ring gear (1) and inspect
check ring gear (1) for warpage.

a. Repair inserts if damaged. See task
a. Disconnect swivel nut ( 3 ) from hose to
REPAIR MAIN HOUSING INSERTS,
boss elbow ( 4 ) on second range single
disk brake ( 5).
