Install separator plate

Install nine 1/420 x 3-inch bolts and lockwashers

(A). Tighten bolts to 6 to 8 pound-feet torque.

Install transfer

seventeen 1/4-20 x

1 l/8-inch bolts and lockwashers

/4-20 x 3/4inch bolts and lock-

(B). Install two

washers in holes

at (C). Tighten bolts to 6 to 8

Install seal rings (A) on oil filter can (B). Install oil

filter can (B).

Install separator plate (A), detent spring (B),

detent ball (C), and control valve assembly (D)

Use oil-soluble grease to hold detent ball (C) in

place during installation.
