Install the piston rings. The top surface of all the rings are identified by the word "TOP" as shown in FIGURE 4-49.

CAUTION
If a ring expander is being used, be careful not to over expand the ring.

Position the oil ring expander in the control ring groove as shown in FIGURE 4-50.
