Section III. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
3-6. CLEANING. The transporter should be kept free of excessive dirt and corrosive materials. Clean by hosing down
all surfaces with soap and water.
3-7. REPAINTING. Touch up damaged painted surfaces as follows:
a. Surface preparation.  Use fine sandpaper to remove damaged paint and corrosion on base metal.
Apply
phosphate coating, Military Specification MIL-F-14072, to bare metal.
